Murray Gasteplaas is situated on a farm just 11 km of Askham and offers visitors accommodation that can sleep between 4 to 24 people.
Guests have a choice of 4 self-catering units and a Boskamp. The 4 self-catering units each have 2 air-conditioned bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower. The kitchens are fully equipped with fridges, microwaves, stoves and ovens as well as tea and coffee facilities. Each unit has a lounge area, and braai facilities are available for each unit.
The reed-built Boskamp is ideal for a group or family of 8 and consists of 4 bedrooms that are furnished with 2 beds each. Mattresses, pillows and sheets are provided, but guests need to bring any other bedding themselves. The rooms share the use of 2 bathrooms, and hot water is provided by a wood-fired donkey. Braai facilities are also available and wood is provided. Please note the Boskamp does not have any electricity, but caravan lights are available which can be lit using guests' car battery.
Murray Gasteplaas is ideal for birdwatchers and guests who want to experience the quiet and beauty of the Kalahari. Guests can also visit the DiamondT coffee house in Askham or the Khomani San farm which is just 25 km. The eastern border of the Kgalagadi Park is also just 85 km away.
