Description
Situated on the oceanfront in Grotto Bay, On the Rocks is a spacious self-catering holiday home with beautiful ocean views for up to 8 people.
The multi-story house comprises 4 bedrooms and 4 en-suite bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms are each furnished with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a toilet, basin, shower, and bath. These rooms are on the ground floor. The third and fourth bedrooms are furnished with double beds and have an en-suite bathroom fitted with a toilet, basin, and shower. One of these bedrooms has a sea-facing balcony and the other a seating area at the sea-facing windows. All bedrooms have sea views.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove and oven, a microwave, a fridge, tea- and coffee-making facilities, an air fryer, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans, as well as a dishwasher. A washing machine and a tumble dryer are also available for guests to use.
Guests can enjoy their meals at the dining table or relax in the lounge which has a cosy fireplace. Guests have access to DStv and Netflix. The house also has an office and a small library with a TV. The living area opens onto the patio overlooking the swimming pool and the ocean. The pool is not fenced, and children must be under parental supervision. The deck has a table with chairs as well as sun loungers.
There are many wine and olive farms in the area and game drives are offered on certain farms. The unit is close to Grotto Bay and the village of Darling which boasts a museum and a brewery. Melkbosstrand and Yzerfontein for groceries are also nearby. Certain supermarkets deliver up to 2 times a week in Grotto Bay.
