Great time Thesen Island is a wonderful place for a holiday. Great location. Check-in was good, and communication with the host was great. The home is in need of maintenance, which I have brought to their attention.

Excellent location! It was a wonderful holiday. Lovely house and can swim right in front of the house. The complex is beautifully laid out, clean and very safe. This will be my 1st choice for accommodation in Knysna from now on.

We were 5 adults and two children. The location of the house is ideal with a safe little beach literally just down the steps. On The Waterway is very conveniently located next to a safe little beach for children and parents. We found the house clean and tidy and quite well equipped. Very neat with everything that you need. Our family stayed here with friends. The house was neat, well equipped and had a good location. We could swim right in front of the house and spend time on the patio.

Wonderful place and helpful host. I went there to work on a group project for a week with a team. Although the place is not actually for that kind of activity, it suited us very well, very nice, quiet and beautiful. The house is well equipped and comfortable. I would love to go back on holiday.

Well situated home on Thesen Island. Great for family with children. Over the past 5 years Thesen Island has been our yearly getaway. Unfortunately, when comparing our stay at On The Water Way to previous accommodation, it was by far the most unpleasant. Appliances in the home are on the old side, and some did not work. Tumble dryer did not dry cloths. The sound system did not work. TV's / DVD player are so old one could not attache external devices (Laptop / hard drives). Upstairs bathroom had water stains running down walls and bathroom cupboards had water damage. The shower had dirty footprints in it upon arrival. With a little tender loving care the home has great potential.

Regarding the malfunctioning tumble drier:The tenant had my personal mobile number and had the problem been reported it would have been addressed the same day, as upon reading the review I sent out Lagoon-Side Electrical to assess; a fuse was replaced and the tumble drier was fine. All the appliances are manufactured by Bosch and were purchased in 2011, and to assume that they are old is an incorrect perception. I apologise for the footprint in the shower, and discussed it with our cleaning service. However, regarding the condensation water marks on bathroom wall the following: The bathroom is double volume and is tiled to a height of 2 meters while the top two thirds are painted. Beautiful location, but the accommodation was a disappointment. Thesen Island and the area is beautiful. Concerning the accommodation, I don't really know where to start.
