Description
Paardeplaats Nature Retreat is a restored stone house that sleeps up to 12 guests. The house is located in a former ruin of a gold mining camp. It is nestled in pristine nature with a view of the little trout pond and the majestic valley and mountains.
Accommodation comprises 5 units which include Jafrie, Oribi, Gurneys, Suikerbossie and Kiepersol. Each room has a private view with its own unique character with stained glass windows and down or wool duvets on all the beds, and some with private patios. The entire property is off-grid and unaffected by power outages. All bathrooms come equipped with gas geysers, solar lights and cosy oil-burning lamps for ambience. Three of the units come equipped with bathrooms fitted with a shower and 1 unit is fitted with a bath.
On-site facilities include a communal living and kitchen area, a wonderful open hearth braai area, and secure parking. Guests are also welcome to enjoy some of the on-site activities which include multiple hiking routes, mountain biking, bird watching, and fly fishing.
