Peaceful and breathtaking! The place is incredibly well laid out, and has everything you need. The lack of noise and street lights was absolutely good for my soul. The outdoor shower is quite an experience that we really enjoyed. Jonathan and Nella were excellent, responding immediately to our requests. A definite must for anyone looking to escape the city! Make sure you get all your food ahead of time - we were well prepared and it didn't bother us that there wasn't a shop.

A wonderful visit amidst the natural beauty of Permaaklikheit. The covered patio is a lovely hanging out area. The spacious lawn creates space and allows one to see birds walking around and looking for insects. We appreciated the secluded and private location. We had a wonderful time relaxing and visiting.

Very tranquil, beautifully restored cottage. Lovely! The cottage is away from other homes in the hamlet, so very private. In terms of old-style cottages, this is the real thing, but very well-equipped. Close to the river - you can easily walk there. We loved the outside braai area - you could spend most of your time there! Great that we could bring our dogs - they enjoyed it.

It was a lovely break - quiet, peaceful and a bonus that we could take our dogs with us. There are only 2 things that caught us off guard - no soap and little toilet paper. There is no store in Permaaklikheit, so one must go to this beautiful place well equipped - or drive 35 x 2 km to stock up. The case with plasters etc was a big plus. Oh yes - and make sure your spare tire is pumped up and you know where the jack is!
