Pecan Nut Guest House is named after the 2 large pecan nut trees in the back garden. This charming, small self-contained house is situated in the old suburb of Scottsville in Pietermaritzburg, ideally positioned with access to the N3 highway. The self-catering accommodation is ideal for single persons, couples, families or business travellers.
The house comprises 3 bedrooms, a sitting room, a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. There are 2 bedrooms with a queen-size bed in each and 1 bedroom with a single bed. Shower facilities are available. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, an oven and stove and a microwave, and there is a 6-seater dining table and chairs in the dining room. Guests can also relax in the cosy lounge.
There is a large garden with indigenous trees, heated pool and a braai with a pizza oven. On-site parking is available, with a garage. The location offers access to Golden Horse Casino, University of KwaZulu-Natal, St Charles and St John’s private schools, shopping malls, and Maritzburg Golf Course.
The accommodation is convenient for those attending local events including Midmar Mile, Duzi Canoe Marathon, Comrades Marathon, Amashova cycle race, Art in the Park, and The Royal Show, as well as for parents with children boarding at local schools.
