Description
Pelikaan is a log cabin located in Houtbosch Bay, a small private nature reserve on the beach in Aston Bay, just outside Jeffreys Bay and a stone's throw from the Marina Martinique.
The house comprises 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The first storey is reached via a wooden staircase and offers a balcony and a view of the reserve. The main bedroom is on this storey and contains a queen-size bed and the second bedroom contains 2 single beds. These rooms share a bathroom with a shower and a bath. The third bedroom, which is on the ground floor, contains a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower. All bedding and bath towels are provided. Guests should bring with their own swimming towels.
The open-plan living area is comfortably furnished and large glass doors open onto the balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave and washing machine.
The lounge has comfortable seating and a smart TV. Free Wi-Fi is available and guest can load their own DStv Now or Netflix. The living area leads out onto a large deck overlooking the vegetation of the reserve and the ocean where dolphins and whales can be viewed in season.
There is a gas braai available on the patio. Because of the fire hazard guests are not allowed to use the gas braai during windy weather.
The beach is 120 m from the house and accessible via a boardwalk that winds through the reserve to the beach.
