Picardie Guest Farm is nestled below the Taal Monument, at the foot of the Paarl mountains, and offers comfortable guest farm accommodation on a family farm, just 2 km from the centre of town.
Accommodation is offered in a number of guest rooms and self-catering cottages. The executive rooms are spacious and ideal for short stays. The Lakeside family and single rooms are ideal for large group bookings in need of a little privacy. The self-catering cottages are ideal for families on short holidays or long weekend breaks.
The guest farm offers the Stoor Hall which is mainly used for wedding celebrations, but can also be utilised for larger dance parties, celebrations and gatherings. The jetty leads out onto the dam, offering a romantic setting for wedding ceremonies. ‘The Bos’ provides a magical setting for those couples wanting a ‘down-to-earth’ ceremony hidden between granite rocks and olive trees. The Piggery Deck and Stoep is ideal for picnic weddings.
The Lakeside deck and verandah is ideal for cocktail parties, 21st birthday celebrations, or other celebratory events. The conference room caters for meetings and seminars, and different catering options include breakfast, lunch, and tea and coffee on the ‘Pakstoor’ Deck. The cellar is a cosy venue for smaller anniversary celebrations or a private marriage ceremony.
The farm exports table grapes as well as wine grapes and olives. The farmer, Louis Louw, prizes himself in making wine from his grapes and preserving olives. The wine is available on the market, and guests can buy the wine from the local farm stall.
