Dear Michael, I'm sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. I'm very surprised and shocked because during your stay with us and in the correspondence with your chairman after you left nothing or no concerns were ever raised. In fact, according to your club chairman, everybody enjoyed their stay and another booking was made for 15 - 17 Nov which is now definitely cancelled.
Also in the past six years we've had many club and provincial fishing teams, canoe marathon teams, and netball teams staying with us and nobody has ever had any issues or complaints, in fact, some teams stay here every year.
The fact that you had to "lock away" your fishing tackle well that is a personal choice and was absolutely unnecessary
We never advertised 16 single beds and when you made this booking, it was discussed and you were happy. Maybe in future, you should look at booking 16 single hotel rooms, or maybe look at renting out a school dorm.
Elevated toilets are actually a common thing and is there to help elderly or disabled people with mobility issues.
The vagrants that you mention, is also a very disturbing statement as we've never ever had any problems in this area. There are only three houses in this residential street and in fact, the people that walked in the road were actually our neighbours and their respective visitors trying to get to their cars that were parked outside seeing that your "visitors", with their 7 additional cars parked all over the street.
Also, the same visitors who just without asking left their dog in the enclosed swimming pool area for the whole day. And we are not a pet-friendly establishment.
The "open" field is actually a wetland and a conservation area and belongs to the Dept of Environmental Affairs, because of the flamingos and rich bird life.
The road travelling through the wetland is used to go to the golf course.
I suggest that in future when you make a booking on behalf of your club, you look at what your needs are and then book accordingly.
We wish you all the best for the rest of your fishing season.
