It was wonderfully quiet and comfortable, but the bed and bedding were old and tired. It was wonderfully quiet and comfortable. The linen is just old and washed out. The bed could definitely do with real feather pillows and good Percale linen. And a new fan that doesn't whine all night. Location good.

Silence and tranquility. We had a great time in McGregor, and had a great time relaxing in Dove Cottage. Dove Cottage is on the farm Rhebokskraal which is located less than 2 km outside McGregor, so close to the town, but still on a farm. There are wonderful MTB routes that start right at the farm gate and you can enjoy walking around the farm. The silence on the farm was wonderful. The hostess was very friendly and helpful. The house is very rustic and the furniture is not in a well-kept condition. Unfortunately, the place creates a tired impression. Extra attention to the house, the equipment as well as to the environment and farm yard could make a big difference. Important to mention that the ceilings in the bathroom and kitchen are very low, as are the door frames and bedroom light. Someone who is taller than 1.85 must walk stooped. It didn't bother too much, but heads were bumped a few times this weekend!

There is that reflection of God. Hospitality from the upper seats. Attic room that warms the heart. Stars so bright it feels like you could pick them.
