Waarde vir geld, rustigheid, lekker bly en sover die beste plekkie! By verre die mees ongelooflike lekker plek wat ons al by was! Die gasvryheid is onmeetbaar, die mees dierbare mense wat so mooi na Reitfontein omsien! Netjies is nie eers die woord nie, jy kan dit deur 'n ring trek! Ons het by die Klipspringer gebly wat lekker privaat is van die res, dis presies wat ons nodig gehad het as wegbreuk van die stad af. Ons het per kar gereis (SUV) en die paaie was regtig nie lelik na al die reën nie, die wild wat ons kon sien en natuurlik die blyplek self was net ongelooflik lekker! Ons het gerus die natuur bewonder en die wonderlike Karoo sterre beleef weer wat ons na gesmag het!

Stil, ontspannend, "back to basics". A gem binne die Touwsberg Reserve. Hierdie is regtig 'n baie lekker wegbreekplek. Baie dankie aan Tony en Annatjie, julle is regtig waar sterre. Die plek is skoon, simplisties en die beste van als is die kolkol, lekker swembad en geen sein! So 'n mens kan tot rus kom, geniet van die natuur en detox van enige elektroniese toestelle. Daar is heerlike wandelroetes en wild sal jy seker sien as jy vroeg genoeg gaan stap. Daar is nog baie meer wat 'n mens kan doen daar, so ons gaan definitief weer terugkom!

A true gem, experience the Klein Karoo's big sky in luxury. I've travelled extensively on business and leisure, and this place is in my top 10 for getting away from it all. There is a 3G signal which makes communicating with the hosts over WhatsApp easy. The last few km is a dirt road that is well maintained and poses no issues for regular cars. The hosts are a very friendly couple, and it was a joy to talk to them. They showed us the other units, and we'll mark this as a favourite to come back to. Facilities were outstanding. True off grid with a gas stove, gas fridge, and hot water with shower/bath. The hot tub outside was wonderful, and the paraffin lamps are a nice touch. A lot of careful thought went into the building for a rustic charm, as are the dice and traditional games, and especially thoughtful are the USB charging ports by the bedside. The beds, pillows, and sitting area were very comfortable, and we got great sleep. The braai area had some of the best tools I've ever seen on a guest farm, and if outside is no good, there's a braai area inside too. We didn't get to use the pool due to time constraints, but it looks so inviting. Make your trip multiple days. There are also 3 hikes locally, and the bird and small animal life, as well as the antelope on the way in, were lovely to see. There are baboons in the nearby hills, but they don't come near. The area is safe with no dangerous big cats. I'd call this one of Africa's best desert stays.

Perfect getaway – highly recommended! Perfect getaway – highly recommended! We had an absolutely perfect stay! The accommodation was excellent and great value for money. Hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home from the start. The farm is beautifully maintained – neat, safe, and peaceful. The cottages are spotless and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beds are super comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Each cottage even has its own hot tub, which was a real treat! There’s a lovely pool area, and the wide open spaces are ideal for kids to play, ride bikes, or explore the walking trails. At night, the stars are an unforgettable sight – simply magical. We stayed at Duikers Cottage, which had its own braai and boma area – perfect for relaxing in the evenings. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be visiting again!

Soos reeds aangedui, 5 sterre op alle gebiede. Na ek alles met 5 sterre gemerk het, word die vraag gevra en dis 'n vereiste dat ek antwoord. Dis sal my laaste terugvoer wees.

Pragtige uitkyk op die berge, pragtige sterre kyk. Mooi skoon, lekker privaat. Was 'n wonderlike plekkie net om so bietjie te rus.

Holiday at Grysbok and Springbok cottages was peaceful, quiet, serene and healing! The warm hospitality that we received from Anatjie and Tony when we arrived made us feel welcomed immediately. The staff at Rietfontein went above and beyond to ensure that our 5-day stay was comfortable throughout. Their willingness to assist with any request was truly admirable. The farm is absolutely lovely, idyllic setting, breathtaking views. The cottages are very well maintained and run on solar power and gas. There's WiFi, but cellphone reception is limited. Each cottage has a wood-fired tub for the cold winter months and you can make use of the communal swimming pool during the hot summer months. There's a nice outdoor braai/fire pit to sit around in the evening and gaze at the stars. Sitting on the stoep you get a magnificent view of the sunset and a breathtaking view of the mountain range. I would recommend Rietfontein Guest Farm to anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
