Neat, relaxing and wonderfully scenic camping area. It was absolutely blissful! We camped among the most luxuriant trees on a lovely lawn. The view from our stand was to the most beautiful waterfall and its sound caressed our souls. Thank you for sharing your paradise with us.

A great place to go to chill out. The very hospitable and friendly owners gave us clean facilities and a football-sized area to pitch our camp. One gets a remote to the secure entrance gate. The hot water was via a wood-fired donkey. The shared kitchen, dining, and ablutions had water and electricity. There are 4 camping sites with power. It is safe and secluded with a scenic river boundary. There are pleasant walks through the forest and pecan plantations on the farm. We saw blue and grey duiker. The bird life is abundant. We enjoyed Egyptian geese, spoonbill, hadedah, thrush, starling, hammerkop, weaver, and many more. Winterton, with a decent SPAR and fuel stations, is 16 km away (6 km of dirt road). Monks Cowl is about 20 km to the west. There is an abundance of tourist-type activity in the area. The Brewery at the nearby airstrip took my fancy. The days were hot and the nights cool with thunderstorms most nights. Am I going back? A definite yes.

Just what we needed. A beautiful private site on a pecan farm beside a river. Lovely grassed sites and just enough comfort in the form of shelter, electricity and warm water to make this an ideal camping experience.
