Restful. It was wonderful. So quiet and relaxed.

Quiet environment. The sheep came to say 'more'. The wind blew us away, but we were nice and warm and safe inside.

Beautiful view. The location and the view were fantastic, the service at reception was also very good and the people very friendly. There was no swimming area as indicated in the advertisement, suppose the dam has dried up which should be in front of the cottage. The cottage was very neat, but the floor/carpet could be a little cleaner. The shower taps shock you, you had to turn them on and off with a thick towel. The outer wooden benches are very uncomfortable, because you keep sliding forward even though the cushions are tied and sit very hard. But the cottage is well equipped and the view was very beautiful. It's perfect for a stopover.

Beautiful location in nature. Quiet and peaceful. Private. We were impressed with the finishes and decor. Very good quality bedding and towels. Neat and clean. Well equipped.

Lazy country cottage romance. We were on our way back from the West Coast to Pretoria after a grandparent passed away and with the busy N1 we were looking for a quiet, safe, private and well located halfway stop. Rock Cabin was 100%! We were very warmly welcomed and the Karoo hospitality was there immediately. A fantastic cold fruit fizzy milk put us in the right mood with the mercury at a good 34 degrees Celsius. The accommodation provides good privacy and accommodation but do not expect an air freshener ("AC") because a standing fan is the norm. There is a TV but with no DStv or Showmax. Unfortunately the Netflix was out of order during our visit, but it is available. Nice braai & relaxation area but braai wood, fire lighters, etc. must be provided yourself. Beautiful white springbok were visible in the distance and the calls of the frogs quickly sang a tired body to slumber land. There are meals with a limited menu available but unfortunately it lacks the traditional Karoo lamb shank, whole lamb neck, lamb leg/blade, sheep head, lamb stew and sheep curry offal dishes which was a big disappointment. Everything else was available and there is even a swimming pool available at the padstal restaurant to rinse off. NB! Tabbard or PeaceFull Sleep is a must because the accommodation is located next to water. We will stay there again anytime and highly recommend it although there are improvements as indicated to make it even more pleasant, especially look at Karoo traditional dishes please. The cherry on the cake would be a romantic splash pool or "tub" on the stoep for private romance in the veld in style! Thank you very much for a nice overnight stay.
