Rockwood Farm is situated in the Sneeuberg Conservancy which is a grouping of about twenty connected farms running along the western side of the Cederberg Mountains, 7 km outside Citrusdal. The guest farm offers beautiful views of the Cederberg mountain range, and guests can enjoy long country walks and magnificent scenery. Comfortable self-catering accommodation is offered in 3 unique cottages, spaced apart for privacy, and all with magnificent views and private rock pools.
The elegant and spacious Cedar House can accommodate 8 guests in 4 bedrooms, and its lounge, dining area, reading room and verandah offer lovely views of the Southern Cederberg mountains. An abundant birdlife frequents the lily pond in front of the house, while water flowing continuously in the 'sloot' just below the verandah steps, adds to the surrounding peace and tranquillity. There are braai facilities for the summer days spent outdoors, and there are several special spots for picnics.
Wild Olive Cottage has been furnished and decorated with a lovely, understated elegance; comprising 2 double en-suite bedrooms. The cottage boasts a Jetmaster fireplace, and French doors opening to the verandah from where guests can enjoy mountain and valley views. Braai facilities are provided, and the cottage overlooks a private rock swimming pool filled all year round with fresh river water.
Rockwood Cottage can accommodate 6 guests in 3 bedrooms, and features quality furniture, including indigenous yellowwood, and original paintings. The cottage boasts a fireplace, and French doors leading onto a spacious verandah, from there, guests can enjoy the views and the gentle sound of the stream just below. Braai facilities are under the oak trees, and a private rock pool filled all year round with fresh river water, make for lovely summer days spent outdoors.
