Description
Rocky Hollow Lodge is a family-owned lodge located in the North West Province of South Africa. It lies in a valley to the South of the Magaliesberg mountain range and North of the Witwaterberg mountain range.
Each farmstead room is tastefully decorated and offers guests comfortable Hartbeespoort accommodation in style. The bathrooms are luxurious and are equipped with a bathtub for relaxing and a shower made for two. All linen, complimentary soap and extra towels are supplied. The Family and Deluxe rooms have a small kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities. The Standard Rooms offer tea- and coffee- making facilities only.
Guests have access to the sparkling pool, as well as the lapa and lounge area complete with bush boma and bonfire pit. Relax and enjoy the views over the Schurveberg mountains, as this is a Hartbeespoort lodge at its best. The lodge has an entertainment area which can also be used for conferencing and functions for up to 50 people.
Rocky Hollow Lodge, previously owned by world know impressionist painter, Adriaan Boshoff, offers a real farm experience with natural bush veld that runs through the estate, and is home to hundreds of bird species and wildlife that includes gemsbuck (oryx), zebra, impala, blesbuck, blouwildebees and springbuck which roam freely within the Elandsfontein Eco Park.
On-site activities include game viewing, horseback game rides, bird viewing, 4x4 track, mountain biking, a party boat, sparkling swimming pool, photography courses, painting, golf packages, and cash bar facilities.
The farm is located just outside the tourist town of Hartbeespoort, and is a short drive away from NECSA, Rosslyn and Lanseria airport. In close proximity there is a divine cuisine destination of the Mosaic Restaurant, home to the best female chef in South Africa. Other nearby attractions include Lion Park, Harties Cable Way Experience, Elephant Sanctuary, Monkey Sanctuary, Hartbeespoortdam, and the Cradle of Human Kind.
