Isolation. At Rooiberg you can imagine you are the only person on this planet. Around you stretches the Karoo in all its splendor; no one in sight. Inside the restored house it is cosy. It's nicely furnished. And the owners are warm and friendly. Stay here for a few days and explore the area on foot, as we did. And enjoy the silence.

Hearty Karoo accommodation. Beautiful unit, spacious, clean and comfortable, neat, tasteful and unadorned. The farm dam was a welcome relief after the long road. The dirt road to the farm is beautiful and accessible to any vehicle and if you are lucky like us after the rain, you see the springbok frolicking in the water. We were warmly received and looked after and will definitely spend the night here again.

Resting place between Gauteng and Kasp. What a pleasant surprise! So neat and clean with everything you need for a lovely visit. The silence and vastness of the Karoo plains with the millions of stars in the evening does any tired Gauteng soul the world of good!
