Description
Rosenhof Country House is situated on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn, en route to the Cango Caves and Ostrich Farms. The carefully renovated homestead, Circa 1852, with its yellowwood beams and ceilings and a tasteful collection of antique furniture, exudes an aura of authenticity.
The lovely rose garden, which gave Rosenhof its name, leads to stylishly decorated bedrooms, each individually furnished. All rooms provide air-conditioning, satellite TV, a telephone, minibar, coffee- and tea tray and a private digital safe. The en-suite bathrooms have a separate bath and shower, heated towel rails, hairdryer and bathrobes. The two Executive Suites each have their own pool, lounge and patio, with tranquil views of the Swartberg Mountain.
Rosenhof has a cosy pub and several luxury lounges with fireplaces where visitors can relax. The Smokers Lounge offers free internet access. A new addition at Rosenhof is the Art Gallery with artworks from well-reputed South African artists. In summer, cool down in the pool, take tea in the manicured gardens or visit the Wellness Center with a fully equipped gym, sauna and beauty clinic.
The restaurant specialises in traditional country cuisine with a cordon bleu touch, and together with an extensive wine collection, dining at Rosenhof will be an unforgettable experience. Breakfast is equally memorable, served in the sunny breakfast room overlooking the beautiful gardens.
