A cosy close by stay near Kruger Phabeni Gate. It was quite nearby to Kruger Phabeni Gate but the area was not very attractive. Rooms were quite good size and with AC and hence had a nice sleep. The attached bath was good but could have been much cleaner. The kitchen was well equipped and clean. Overall, a nice place for a night halt.

Arrived on a rainy afternoon to no electricity for an hour (perhaps not their fault but no explanation or apology offered). No water or ice in the fridge. Linen is old and did not smell clean. Lovely, well-equipped family cottages conveniently situated near Phabeni Gate. Lovely hospitality too. We booked to stay at Sand River Cottages as a one-night stopover on our way to the Kruger National Park. We were so impressed by the cottages and would not hesitate to recommend this as a place to stay. Thank you to the Shabangu family for their warm welcome!
