Beautiful, basic, rustic. Make sure you have food before you check in. It was a beautiful place, but getting locked in at 6pm was a problem. We'd wanted to check in and then go and get some food. This was not permitted. Gates locked at 6pm and we had no supper with us, so we went hungry.

Fantastic. I live in Cape Town, what a delight to have this beautiful option on our doorstep. Went for one night felt like I had a mini holiday. Plan to take a whole group back and book it all out.

A great place to stay with the nature. Convenient to spend a couple of nights when visiting the Cape of Good Hope Natural Reserve. Don't forget to visit The Scone Shack and the Ostrich Farm next door.

Beautiful surroundings, neat accommodation, nice walking routes. Power was off (cables stolen). Smitswinkel then has no water for the whole day. Surely they could have already found an alternative to that problem? Power has been coming for a long time.
