Description
Schoonspruit Falls is a stunning farm located just 16 km outside of Machadodorp. The farm offers guests a choice between two separate units for accommodation.
The main lodge is a luxurious self-catering house that overlooks a large dam, surrounded by manicured lawns which run down to the water's edge. The Trout Lodge can accommodate up to 10 guests in 5 bedrooms, all of which have bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there is a large dining table, comfortable seating in the lounge, and a wraparound stoep with a built-in braai. Guests can enjoy trout fishing, boating, swimming, and nature walks on the farm, and there is a zip line for the more adventurous visitor. Horse riding can also be arranged on request.
The Trout Cottage is a charming unit situated on the water's edge of the farm's main dam. It can accommodate up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children and comprises 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, and a kitchenette, dining and living area. The bedroom has a queen-size bed, and the bathroom contains a bath and shower, toilet and washbasin. The kitchenette is fully equipped, and there is a 4-seater dining table, comfortable seating in the lounge, and a fireplace. Outside, guests can enjoy a covered stoep with seating and a kettle braai, and a private fire pit on the water's edge.
At Schoonspruit Falls, guests can enjoy the outdoors, swim in the dam, and do nature walks around the farm. The area is known for its stunning natural beauty, and visitors can explore the nearby waterfalls, hiking trails, and mountain biking routes. The farm is also close to the Kruger National Park and other popular attractions.
