Description
Sharwimbo River Camp is situated on the banks of the Kwando River which separates Botswana and Namibia, in the Caprivi district. It offers quality accommodation for an adventurous family or group of friends. It is located 25 km South of Kongola.
The accommodation comprises 15 River Chalets and 6 campsites to choose from. The Chalets hold 2 three-quarter beds with mosquito nets, extra camp beds for 2 children, which are available on request, 12V solar lighting, an en-suite bathroom with a hot water shower and a toilet, and a kitchen nook with a stove, coffee- and tea-making facilities, crockery and cutlery as well as a scullery for washing up.
The Campsites feature individual braais, a picnic bench, water point and a communal ablution facility with hot water showers and toilets and 12V solar lighting. There is a communal scullery where guests can wash up.
Relax on the chalet porch under the large, shady trees or at 1 of the lovely swimming pools.
Guests are welcome to book a game drive or boat ride with reception.
Due to the sensitivity of nature and abundant bird life in and around the camp pets are not allowed.
The camp is on the elephant migration routes and the area is in animal life. The boat rides on the Kwando River are very popular.
