Orange Cottage @ Simonskloof Mountain Retreat offers a unique, off-grid escape located 50 km west of Montagu. Nestled in the serene ecotone of the Succulent Karoo and Mountain Fynbos, this eco-friendly accommodation is perfect for couples or small families seeking a tranquil retreat immersed in nature. With its breathtaking views, diverse medicinal plants, and abundant wildlife, it's also an ideal venue for yoga and healthy living workshops.
Perched on a scenic hill, the cottage accommodates up to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms — one furnished with a queen-size bed and the other with 2 single beds. The bathroom is fitted with a solar-heated shower with a gas backup. The kitchenette includes a fridge, a 2-plate gas hob, and all the necessary pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery for self-catering needs. While the cottage is off-grid, Wi-Fi is available upon request.
This eco-friendly haven also includes an indoor fireplace, an outdoor fire pit-braai, and a bathtub with hot water under the open sky. Relax on the veranda's hammock and take in the breathtaking views of the fynbos-covered hills. Secure parking is located right next to the cottage, and access is suitable for standard vehicles.
