Friendly and helpful owner, quiet and peaceful place with everything you need. It was our first time in Umkomaas. It's very convenient if you want to get away from the city's noise, but still close enough to visit Durban and Margate. We could barbecue and swim even if the weather didn't allow it. It's close enough to walk to the beach. Everything we needed for self-catering was available. We were even offered an extra night, after being stuck in the snow on the N3 the first night.

We only spent two nights as we were down for a wedding. We weren't there much during the day, but it was an enjoyable stay. We did take our own, but if we hadn't it would have been nice to have known there isn't. The shower was also a bit on the awkward size for a plus-size person, and the seating as well.
