Beautiful, peaceful place.

However, the existing wall panel heater is just consuming unnecessary power as it does nothing unless one is directly in front of it, which doesn't make sense if this was the intention. I suggest having that replaced with either an aircon or a better heater. Also, I wasn't happy with parking so far away from the room. Beautiful location, excellent staff, great wholesome food, peaceful and it felt safe. The highlight was the battlefield tour which is really touching. If I could offer one suggestion it would be to provide guests with a little map that sets out one or two self walks (perhaps up Alice, or down the wagon trail to the river) and also a few mountain bike routes. I would be willing to pay extra for the opportunity to ride across some of the land around the lodge.
