The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, tea- and coffee-making facilities and cutlery and crockery. The dining area is furnished with a dining table suitable for 8 guests. The lounge is furnished with a comfortable lounge suite, a coffee table and a TV. Access to free Wi-Fi is available.
The living area opens onto a patio, boasting stunning views of the valley and sea. Guests can enjoy a dip in the sparkling swimming pool, enjoy a braai or simply lounge on the comfortable outdoor furniture. For those looking to explore the area, guests might catch a glimpse of the passing game and hiking trails are within easy reach. Access to secure parking is available.
The house was specifically designed to take advantage of the proximity to the nature conservancy with natural materials, floor to floor-to-ceiling windows that slide open to bring nature inside. The gorge is part of the critical conservancy area and the house is front row seat. On a daily basis, you will be visited by bunnies, black mongoose, bushbuck, Guinea fowl and the abundance of bird life too many to mention. Our favourite nightly visitor is Ruan, the spotted eagle owl that hunts in the backyard every night. You have the advantage also of spectacular ocean and breaker views to spot dolphins and whales. Forget about technology and witness nature's full glory.
The St. Blaize Trail is steps from the house and this world-class hiking trail follows the oceanside cliffs to Mossel Bay lighthouse with breathtaking views throughout. The trail hosts varieties of fynbos and supports one of the highest numbers of endemic species in the Cape Floristic Region. A must-see for any plant enthusiast.
