Description
Stonewood Mountain Cabin offers a tranquil self-catering breakaway and is situated in a nature reserve overlooking farmland, fynbos and exquisite mountain views in the Breede River Valley. The 660-hectare Mount Bain Private Nature Reserve is just a scenic hour and a half’s drive from Cape Town.
This double-storey cabin boasts 2 floors with an impressive all-wood interior and comprises 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious open-plan lounge with high ceilings, a large stone fireplace for cosy winter evenings, a dining area and a self-catering kitchen.
The main and second bedrooms each contain a queen-size bed, and there are 2 single beds in the living area. There are 2 spacious bathrooms; one upstairs and one downstairs, with either a claw-footed bathtub or a large walk-in nature shower overlooking the leafy surroundings through a wall of glass.
The open-plan kitchen contains a fridge, a 2-plate gas stove, a whistling kettle, and a selection of crockery, cutlery, utensils, pots and pans to use. The adjacent living room also boasts a charming loft reading nook, which offers an honesty library and a stock of board games. The living area features floor-to-ceiling glass windows and leads out to the spacious wraparound deck, which boasts a convenient gas braai facility and swinging hammocks for guests to lay in and admire the unparalleled views, purple-hued mountains in the summer, and often snow-capped in the winter.
Stonewood Mountain Cabin offers the perfect choice for an escape-it-all stay all year round, with rustic yet comfortable accommodation away from busy city life.
