Absolutely beautiful! Had a great stay. The doggies were super friendly! Walking distance to the dam where we caught a decent amount of fish. The place was well equipped with everything that we needed .

Nice place, but really needs attention. The host was friendly. Her husband came to fix the light in one of the bedrooms that was not working. It's a nice little place, but it needs serious attention. WiFi was not working; we were told to use the next door house code. The front door gate lock is a bit loose, so I battled at times to open it. No key was provided for the front door; there were some hanging in the passage, but they didn't seem to fit. The kitchen tiles on the floor are cracked right through and can become a safety hazard if they sink in a bit; they can cut your foot. Please replace the kettle; we had to wash it about 4 times to get the green out, but this happens at the dam. The fridge is really old; it still works, but it can be replaced. The TV cables hang very dangerously down to the floor, especially for young children, a safety hazard. The sliding door to the patio is very hard to open and close; the security gate is difficult to lock. The tiles by the patio have sunken in close to the braai and are also a safety hazard. My husband cut his foot there. The beds are very hard and squeaky. The bedding in the one room, left side bed, was not clean; there are brown stains on the duvet cover, as well as on the throw. The bathroom shower needs attention. The doors hook out if you open them too wide, plus the shower can do with a serious clean. The big dogs are a nuisance as they jump the fence and bother a person. The big white and black one was crouching a lot, and as soon as you open the door, he comes inside and makes himself at home on the couch/bed in the lounge. The brown one is naughty, climbs on the braai, and licks the grid. Perhaps just put the fence a little higher so they can't jump over. In the passage, the plug fittings are open, so little fingers can easily go in there; perhaps just a cover over this. A little attention to detail, and the place will be a lovely place to enjoy. We heard scratching a lot of times, but then realized it was perhaps something in the roof. We will not be going back soon.
