Description
Sunset Lodge & Safaris is situated on Guernsey Private Nature Reserve in the Limpopo province, approximately 40 km from Orpen Gate in Kruger National Park.
This lodge is now also powered by solar and has a solar and battery back-up system so the lights are always on! We have 8 individually decorated rooms which offer accommodation for up to 18 people. The bedrooms are furnished with either twin beds, a queen-size bed or one king-size bed. One of the rooms has 2 double beds. All rooms have an en-suite bathroom. There are 2 bathrooms with showers and 4 with showers and baths. Six of the rooms lead to a courtyard with a swimming pool. The Semi-tented Bush Cabin and Tented Bush Cabin are away from the lodge in the bush and sleeps two each as well as an outside shower each. A minimum stay of 2 nights is required.
The rate includes dinner, DB&B and it is served in the open-plan restaurant, the braai area or the bush braai area. There is a 120 m² deck with a bar area that offers views of the watering hole and the Drakensberg mountains, and in the courtyard, you'll find a swimming pool with sun loungers and braai facilities where delicious braai meals are prepared for guests.
Activities on-site include bird watching and game drives.
There are many exciting activities in the immediate vicinity to do, such as a Quad Bike Safari, Blyde River Canyon boat rides and a guided bush walk, day safari to the Kruger National Park. We help guests to make bookings for any of the above-mentioned activities. Some of the activities are within 20 km of the lodge.
