Blissful, quiet days at Faraway were balm to our city souls! We enjoyed the few lovely, peaceful days at Faraway and it was the perfect place to recharge our batteries. And it's a beautiful place! The silence was blissful. And the swallows that live on the stoep were very special to us. Syrah is top notch!

Exceeded expectations. Excellent stay at Tanagra Garden cottage, clean, fully equipped with wood, and an honesty bar with great wines. Friendly owners, close to all activities such as horse riding, boat cruises, and wine farms. Highly recommended.

A fantastic remote stay. The accommodation situated in the fynbos far from the road and the rest of the farm is magical. Brilliant views and a lovely pool and fantastic bath!

Very relaxing weekend We found our accommodation private, spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, and although we did not need the indoor fireplace, I can imagine this being cozy during the winter months. The veranda has a lovely view over the dam and mountains. There is also a private braai outside. The Loft was where we stayed, and there were two spectacular wild fig trees in front of the main house. The wine, of course, is an added bonus! Delicious. We had a lovely morning walk and enjoyed the many birds on the farm.

Beautiful setting, peaceful and private. Bottlebrush cottage is spacious and well equipped on a boutique wine farm just outside of McGregor. Anette was an excellent hostess - able to answer all our questions about McGregor and the area. Would love to spend more time walking some of the footpaths on the farm and in the area, will definitely visit again in the spring. Feel free to taste their wines, the Shiraz was unbeatable!

Open and clean environment, great resting place to relax and enjoy nature. Faraway Cottage was very clean and exciting to stay in. Everything was luxurious and open. The open bathrooms and kitchen is a must have and the overall quality stay was great.
