In Rustenburg, in the Northwest Province of South Africa, a unique, 5-star guesthouse resides. Terra Casa is a peaceful retreat for the discerning guest in search of individual attention and that something extra.
We offer 6 unique, luxurious suites, all with en-suite bathrooms and either garden or mountain views. We consider our rooms a lifelong project and are always changing and decorating.
We have two dining rooms. One is formal with a beautiful Pierre Cronje-designed table that can seat 12 people. The Rafael room is more informal with individual tables, beautiful views and doors opening onto the private patio and garden.
Our guests’ favourite spot is the covered patio with an intimate garden and fish pond and beautiful views of the Magaliesberg Mountains. Adjacent to it is a small lounge with a coffee table and Elmarie’s precious books. The cosy farmhouse kitchen with Dover stove is for owners’ use only, but guests are always welcome to keep them company while Elmarie cooks up a storm in front of the stove.
Dawie’s garden is luscious with a variety of tropical plants including palm trees, cycads and tree ferns. The sound of birds, as well as water from the numerous fish ponds, make it a real oasis. The spacious pool is cool and inviting during the hot summer days. A pergola and gazebo offer guests the opportunity to enjoy the tranquillity of their surroundings.
