Description
Artists Cottages at Le Quartier are situated in the heart of Dullstroom. The cottages are well suited to groups of friends, as they are central, secure, well-appointed and comfortable. Each family can have its own cottage and bathroom facilities, while still being conveniently close together.
Accommodation is available in 4 quaint, beautifully appointed cottages, each cottage names after an artist — Van Gogh, Renoir, Monet and Picasso. Paintings in the style of the artists complement the unique decor in each cottage. Each cottage has a stoep looking into the central garden. Monet, Renoir and Picasso each have a portable Weber-type kettle braai, while Van Gogh has a built-in brick braai. There is also a built-in braai in the garden for the use of guests in the cottages.
The establishment offers percale cotton linen and high-quality towels. A welcome bundle of firewood is provided, together with tea, coffee, sugar and Cremora. Please remember this is a self-catering venue, you must provide your food, drink, and additional firewood if required. For groups taking 2 or more cottages, the cleaning service is added on per cottage and the cost will be added to your accommodation invoice for payment in advance.
Parking is available for 4 vehicles, with a carport. The gate is kept locked. Palisade fencing along the road frontage gives added security, the other sides of the property are walled. Picasso Cottage is also suitable for pets, provided that they are kept under control and socialised.
TV with DStv channels and a mini Hi-Fi mean that you stay on top of important sports events, or can watch a movie with a glass of wine and the fire keeping you toasty warm. This is great for most nights in Dullstroom, as they can get somewhat chilly.
There is unfortunately no backup solar or inverter power at this stage. Load shedding schedules will be provided to guests with directions on the day of check-in. 2 Cottages, Renoir and Monet, have gas geysers, ensuring that there is constant hot water in these 2 cottages.
