Our little slice of paradise. Words cannot ever explain how much we enjoyed our stay. If you could bottle a feeling, I would keep the feeling we had when we opened the door. A magical experience to say the least.

Perfect escape. It was lovely, with spectacular views of the golf course and mountains. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay with family.

Beautiful accommodation in the beautiful Highland Gate. The house is perfectly located in the beautiful Highland Gate with beautiful views and a lovely sunny veranda which we used well against the cold! Although the main room's windows could do with a curtain or blind for insulation and shelter at night, the house was wonderfully warm during the day as a result. The kitchen lacks some basic accessories for the advanced cook such as an oven casserole, serving bowls, pestle, salt, pepper and olive oil. For the asking price I feel these basic necessities could have been available and therefore the 4 stars for value for money. So bring your own cookware if you want to cook well and extensively. On the other hand, the braai facilities have been expanded with the only exception of a grill for boerewors, which was not to be found. The house is spacious but not too big and the en-suite bathrooms in each bedroom are very comfortable. There was a lack of hanging space in the rooms. The wonderful and ample wood provided for the fireplace was greatly appreciated. The walking trails in the estate are truly special and the friendliness of the staff everywhere was excessive and welcoming. It is a golfer's paradise; the course is impeccable. Overall we had a lovely stay and hope to visit again, thank you very much.

A lovely peaceful stay with a great view. We really enjoyed our stay at the Big Easy Rest, it was clean, and picturesque and had most of the items required for a lovely self-catering stay. The house is lovely and warm at night and all the sliding doors provide lots of natural light and the opportunity to take in the great view.
