Lovely little forest house near the town. The Bush Hut offers neat, clean accommodation with nice, spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The unit is privately located and surrounded by natural woodland. The stairs to the upper floor are quite steep and slippery, but not a problem for older children. We loved the Hoedspruit Wildlife estate within which the Bush Hut was located; it offers walking and cycling routes, as well as forest shelters from which one can view animals. We saw several species of antelope, giraffes, quaggas and warthogs on the estate and even a hyena. However, the highlight was the cute night monkeys who live at the Bush Hut and came to say hello every night! There are several good restaurants and shops near the estate, and a cozy braai area at the unit itself. We would love to stay there again.

Short but just what was needed. We used the cottage more just for a place to sleep during a short weekend to Hoedspruit, but can definitely recommend it. The night owls' early morning visit, as the sun was rising and they were on their way to bed, was truly special for us.

Neat, clean and fully equipped. Great. Beautiful, neat, clean and fully equipped with treats in the fridge such as chocolate, milk, coffee, tea and sugar. Wonderfully peaceful. Friendly hostess Angela! Everything was pre-arranged and in place e.g. access with special code. Map of area in the Wildlife Estate, bird books and board games. The accommodation was lovely and the outdoor shower was everyone's favourite. Will come back anytime and recommend to everyone. Thank you Angela.

Private, safe and peaceful. The place is really very well equipped with everything and more that one would need. Ideal for a family of 4 with young children. The Wi-Fi is fast and keeps the kids busy at night. There are also loads of board games and books to enjoy. Engela literally went out of her way to assist us when our car broke down 40 km from Hoedspruit on the day we left. She arranged for someone to pick us up when the insurance came to collect the car and let us stay another night. We were really stranded on the side of the road and thanks to her my family is safe. I will definitely visit the place again and definitely recommend it.

Nice house in the woods. It's a small reserve with some wild animals in it. Squirrels, warthogs, zebras, blue wildebeest, monkeys, giraffes, lots of goats, lizards, lizards, lots of birds and scary snakes. The speed limit is 40km/h on the tarmac. If you drive too fast, you get an unnecessarily large fine. A warning to people who want to come and stay there. It was nice to see the animals moving around there. We had a nice stay in the cottage. Lots of extras that other places don't provide, like Doom, matches, bath soap, emergency lights. There was a choccie and milk in the fridge for each of us. It had been very thoughtful. The weather was great and we had a great time cooling off in the splash pool. The wifi is excellent. Works even when the power is off.
