Description
The Herb Cottage is tucked away in the beautiful green Magoebaskloof valley. The accommodation is set among indigenous forests.
This cottage is suited to accommodate 5 guests and comes equipped with 2 bedrooms both equipped with en-suite bathrooms fitted with showers. Bedroom 1 features a queen-size bed and bedroom 2 features 2 single beds.
The well appointed fully equipped kitchen has cooking facilities to awaken your culinary skills. There is also a cosy log fire to keep guests warm in the misty weather. Paraplegic facilities offer complete access throughout the cottage, onto the deck and braai area and outside shower. There are no stairs and the bathroom is fitted with convenient handles for your safety.
You can relax in the plunge pool on the veranda. A lock-up carport is available as well as a digital safe. As this is a working farm where avocados and herbs are produced there is fresh produce available during the season, and a glass shop where you can buy glasswork or macadamia products to take home. There is a lovely walk down the river which starts from the cottage, and other walks around the farm which offer lovely views of the mountains.
The Woodbush forest is nearby which is the second biggest indigenous forest in South Africa. Lekgalameetse Nature reserve is also nearby where rare birds, an abundance of butterflies and lots of walking is a must - and it’s a good place for a picnic.
