The Homestead exceeded all our expectations! Pennie and Ian Human are certainly some of the friendliest owners you can come across. Our expectations were far exceeded with the neat, well-equipped rooms, the beautiful gardens, clean swimming pool and the most delicious food. We have not been so spoiled with hospitality and a fabulous sheep on the spit on New Year's Eve, as well as socializing with other guests. Additionally, the bartender provided 5 star service. We don't have enough words to sum up this 4-day old-world visit; it was simply breathtaking. Thank you very, very much; we will visit again for sure!

It was a wonderful country experience! We just stayed one night at the Homestead and it was positive. We enjoyed the "farm atmosphere" a lot, yet the Homestead offers more than one would expect from a 3-star hotel: pool, gym, large game room, 10-pin bowling (slightly primitive, but it has quite a character!), puzzles and even a library. If you want to get away from the city and don't expect much luxury, the Homestead is the perfect place.

Very beautiful, neat and quiet. Surroundings very beautiful, farm atmosphere creates a feeling of peace and quiet, dinner and breakfast excellent. Definitely a recommendation if you just want to get away and get some rest.
