Description
The Lazy Daisy apartments are located on the West Coast peninsula on top of Patrysberg ridge. The apartments are contemporary, modern and tranquil in rustic surroundings on an unspoiled smallholding. Enjoy the feel of a farm stay while looking down on the lights of the village below. Each apartment boasts a private deck, offering unrivalled views of the sunrise over the ocean! The decks are protected from the southeaster wind and have panoramic sea views and a built-in braai/BBQ.
The apartments are furnished with king-size beds and the en-suite showers are spacious. Lazy Daisy has a wet room with a rain shower and Auntie Daisy has both a rain shower and a wall-mounted shower. The open-plan kitchenettes are equipped with fridge-freezers, gas hobs, whistling kettles and toasters. Full WIFI with back-up UPS is provided and a TV with Netflix and YouTube is available. Guests may use their own login details to access DSTV.
McArthur Park Boma is a communal entertainment area on the smallholding which affords an authentic West Coast feel with a large braai/BBQ area and a fire-pit, from where one can enjoy the abundance of stars in our vast and clear West Coast skies. There is also a mini-gym for guests who want to maintain their regimes. The Gallery is where your host - an international portrait artist - exhibits her paintings for you to browse at your leisure.
Deer, tortoise, mongoose, hare and porcupine are our Big Five on the smallholding so slow driving is requested. Quiet walks with panoramic views can be enjoyed, while buzzing bars and restaurants are close by in St Helena Bay, Paternoster, Langebaan, Port Owen and Velddrif.
Small to medium size, well-behaved pets are welcome by arrangement.
The Lazy Daisies is the ideal base from which to explore the attractions of the West Coast and the Swartland. Easy day trips to Langebaan and Paternoster, Darling and Riebeek Kasteel can be planned, which offers activities such as kite-surfing, fine dining, wine, olive and beer tasting, and game safaris, to name but a few.
