Description
The Lazy Leopard Lodge offers modern self-catering accommodation and is located in the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate in Hoedspruit. This luxury holiday home boasts comfortable and industrial architecture, metal beams and exposed brick accent walls complemented with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and a high-thatched roof.
This double-storey holiday home comprises a Main Lodge with 2 en-suite bedrooms, each spacious bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed (and can be converted to two single beds as well). The en-suite bathrooms have a shower and a large bath, as well as an outdoor shower in a private courtyard, accessed through the bathroom. There is a loft bedroom area with 2 single beds and a guest bathroom that is for guests in the loft to utilize. The third and fourth bedrooms are in a separate building 20m from the main lodge and each has a separate entrance or patio with an en-suite bathroom comprising indoor and outdoor showers in a private courtyard.
All four bedrooms are large enough so that single beds in the loft can be moved to them for the convenience of smaller children.
The fully equipped kitchen and scullery are well stocked with top-of-the-range appliances, utensils, crockery, and cutlery. The lodge boasts a few lounge areas and comfortable seating areas inside and out, giving guests the option for relaxing together either indoors or outdoors.
Outdoor dining area is under cover and has 12 seater leadwood table, looking out over pool deck.
Indoor dining is large 8 seater round table in main downstairs living area.
The main living area features a library, board games, puzzles and toys for the kids, and a TV with Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV streaming apps.
The loft is a 150 square meter space, with large windows on east and west sides. Office area with enough work space, bedroom area in one corner and two lounges with comfortable seating. Doors lead out onto a spacious patio with breathtaking views for sundowners.
The accommodation also has an inverter/battery system in case of loadshedding.
The open-plan design of the main living area leads out onto the pool patio, which boasts patio furniture, braai facilities at the boma, and a swimming pool on the deck. In addition, the lodge offers fibre internet with total wifi coverage and parking for three vehicles.
The Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate is home to a variety of plains game, with regular sightings of resident leopards. The absence of elephants, buffalos, lions and rhinos, allows you to explore the estate’s greenbelt area on foot, by mountain bike, or on horseback. The green belt has clearly marked walking and bicycle trails, and 3 dams with bird hides for enthusiasts. You can use your own vehicle on game viewing drives through the green belt using designated roads.
