The Monkeyhide is a comfortably furnished self-catering garden cottage; open plan style, with the lounge arranged around a log fireplace.

Hogsback Village is set in the serene Amathole Mountains of the Eastern Cape. The garden cottage has a private entrance on the host's property. There is a weber braai and seating area outside the cottage.

Monkeyhide offers a relaxing and comfortable stay for couples or small families seeking a peaceful retreat.

The cottage accommodates a small family of 2 adults with 1 or 2 children on the sleeper couch. There is an en-suite bathroom- shower, hand basin and loo.

The open-plan features a living area with comfortable seating and a kitchenette. The kitchenette is well equipped with a bar fridge, gas hob, hallogen oven, toaster etc. and coffee- and tea-making facilities. Outside guests can relax around a braai and seating bench, chairs etc. The expansive main garden offers many peaceful spots to relax, with an array of attractive and exotic trees that are particularly stunning in spring and autumn.

Winter days are often sunny, with cozy evenings spent around the log fireplace, reading or playing board games. Occasionally, the area is graced with beautiful snowfalls. Guests may also experience visits from the Samango forest monkeys, many species of wild birds, and some tame chickens may peck by. The Monkeyhide provides a perfect escape for those looking to enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of Hogsback.
