We had a great stay at The Rose! We were received kindly and the place was nice and tidy. Quiet and very peaceful!

Perfect getaway from the city's crazy noise! Marius, the owner, goes out of his way to make your time there as comfortable as possible. And if you come to S'Bosch to buy wine, he is the perfect person to talk to. The room is located opposite his house and is only separated by a door, so it might put some people off but it wasn't a problem for me at all. Breakfast and laundry service were also available. Reasonable distance from nearest shops (not walking distance) so make sure you take enough food with you for the small fridge in the room. Full package DStv and internet was very nice to have. Coffee machine makes delicious coffee! I will definitely stay there again. The silence and tranquility (and the 2 very friendly little dogs) is good for the soul.

Very well equipped room with available & very friendly owners. Stayed there for 5 days - very nice room which is very well equipped for a beige traveller. Good quality coffee machine (with biscuits!) was available in the room. Internet via WiFi was nice and fast (they recently got "fibre") - and Marius was quick to sort out any problems! Peaceful quiet neighborhood on the slopes of the mountain. Ideal for doing some mountain biking in the mountains. But note that it is outside walking distance from Stellenbosch city centre.
