Thesen Island Holiday House is at the scenic Knysna estuary on the renowned Garden Route.
Knysna's unrivalled natural beauty, lush forests, sandy beaches and interesting history make this charming town one of the country's most visited holiday destinations.
The air-conditioned house has 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, scullery, single garage, and patio directly over the canal. The house comfortably sleeps 4 guests. The house has luxury finishes throughout and uncapped Wi-Fi is also available.
The first bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, a TV, a full en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, bath, toilet and basin, and doors opening to a wooden balcony. The second bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower. For convenience, bedding, bath, and beach towels are provided.
The living room leads directly onto a waterside deck and the house's own private jetty where powerboats up to 7 m in length can be moored. The house is fully equipped to make your stay comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with a microwave oven, convection oven and glass hob, cooker hood, fridge-freezer, crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots, pans, a kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board. There is also a coffee machine, but guests need to bring their own coffee capsules. The scullery has a double basin, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
The dining area has a 6-seater table with chairs, and glass doors that open onto a patio with built-in braai facilities for al fresco dining. The living room's sofas and chairs provide comfortable seating and a TV with DStv, Showmax and Netflix. There is also a sound system and an excellent view of the lagoon from the living room or the deck which leads off it. The garage with its electronically operated door, has room for 1 vehicle.
Solar panels with an inverter and battery provide backup power during blackouts. There is also a gas water heating system to ensure warm water 24/7.
