Thornbay Accommodation is the prime accommodation establishment in Doringbaai, a small town in southern Namaqualand, situated on the West Coast of South Africa. Here you can enjoy total relaxation in a safe and friendly environment.

Accommodation is offered in 8 fully equipped, self-catering apartments with fantastic views of Doringbaai harbour, the lighthouse, and the sea, often accompanied by breathtaking sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean. All units are seafront apartments with an unimpeded view of the sea, which is virtually a stone's throw away. Linen and bath towels are provided.

Each apartment has a fully equipped, open-plan kitchen and lounge area as well as a patio braai area and its own entrance. Some apartments are on the ground floor while the rest are on the first floor. Parking is available on the premises. Other facilities available on the premises include a recreation room with pool table and dartboard, a mini library, a trampoline, and swimming pool.

A fully stocked fishery is available for all your seafood needs, firewood, and ice. Fishing tackle and a limited stock of diving equipment are also available. When catering for your family becomes a chore, a restaurant and pub are only a minute's walk away from Thornbay Accommodation as well as various takeaways.

The areas along the coast north and south of Doringbaai, as well as inland, have much to offer the visitor at any time of the year. Walks along deserted beaches, 4x4 routes, whale watching, fishing, Olifants River Mouth bird sanctuary, hiking trails along the sea cliffs or in the mountains, Namaqualand's flowers during late winter and spring, a world-renowned succulent nursery, wine routes which start in Doringbaai itself and much more are there to be enjoyed.
