Set amidst the treetops of an age-old indigenous forest, Tsala Treetop Lodge is a lavish celebration of the spirit of Africa. The magical allure of the lodge is irresistible to those appreciative of exclusivity and fine fare. Here, one can experience the restful tranquillity of the forest while our discreet staff provides impeccable and personalised service.
Accommodation comprises 10 suites and 6 villas. The suites, tucked into the forest canopy, are ideal for couples on a romantic break while the 2-bedroom villas are better suited for a group of 4. Both the suites and villas have private decks with infinity pools.
The main restaurant building, along the end of the walkway, leads to the voluminous reception area with the forest as the backdrop. The lounge area has become a firm favourite among the guests while enjoying a pre-cocktail drink relaxing with a book from the library or checking emails through the Wi-Fi facility located in this area. An outside deck invitingly lures the guests to peek at the cavorting Knysna loeries, known to be very elusive.
Guests can dine al fresco-style on the deck that overlooks the forest. Lunches and group dinners can also be served on the deck during good weather conditions. Diners have the opportunity to choose from local and international wines from the lodge's world-renowned underground wine cellar.
Plettenberg Bay, South Africa’s premier seaside destination with its glorious golden beaches, lies a mere 10 km east of the lodge, while the vibrant town of Knysna, nestled up against the Knysna lagoon, is 20 km toward the west.
