Description
Tutwa Desert Lodge offers full-board accommodation, and is situated close to the Namibian border, and surrounded by various national parks and game reserves. Upington Airport is located approximately 3 hour’s drive away.
Accommodation at Tutwa Desert Lodge comprises various units, which can accommodate 2 persons in each. Each unit features an en-suite bathroom, and linen, towels and a bathrobe are provided. Each room contains amenities such as air-conditioning, a safe to store valuables, a minibar fridge stocked on request, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. All suites have their own verandahs or balconies, offering landscape and mountain views of the beautiful Green Kalahari.
A hearty breakfast, as well as other snacks, high tea, and selected meals are included. Guests can partake in exciting outdoor activities arranged by the lodge; book excursions such as game drives, bush walks, fishing, and river rafting to name but a few activities. Trips to Augrabies Falls National Park can be arranged for a cost as well.
The lodge is actively engaged in a leopard protection project, in addition to other conservation initiatives aimed at conserving the natural flora and fauna of this fragile environment. The lodge is also committed to the conservation on the Orange River.
