Balm for the soul! We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The silence and break from electronic screens was refreshing. I particularly appreciated the bird life. The wind was a bit of a bother throughout the day, but that's unique to the Karoo! The starry sky at night was special. We were warmly welcomed and instructions were sufficient to facilitate our stay. I would recommend Uitkomst for a real break from the hustle and bustle of the city, or just for a peaceful stopover on your way to another destination.

Karoo. Very quiet and tidy.

Peace and tranquility, Karoo is heavenly. Very neat place. Very nice place. There is no electricity, so plan accordingly. Host may start heating water (lighting donkey) before guests arrive.

Silence and peace. Very nice. Everything needed is there. If you are looking for silence, this is just the place for you. Would not recommend car with small wheels. Dirt road is nice, but your car should not be too low. Just note, no power and cell phone signal.

Enjoy your stay, but solar lighting will be welcome. Yes, nice stay. Beautiful nature - quiet and peaceful.
