At Villa Mozay, we take great pride in ensuring our guests have everything they need to enjoy their stay.
It is unfortunate when guests find themselves in a situation where they feel compelled to take such steps, especially after a change in plans, risking the loss of their payment if they were to cancel. In this case, the guests informed us of their intention to check out and requested to pay for only one night. During the same conversation, they expressed how much their children enjoyed the house but cited a stain on the bed as the reason for wanting to cancel their stay.
It is worth noting that the guests had requested an early check-in and spent almost a day and a half before eventually deciding to check out. The husband had recently undergone surgery and was struggling with the stairs.
Villa Mozay works with a professional cleaning company, and while we assured the guests that we would address the matter with them, we immediately offered to provide new bedding. However, this offer was declined by the guests. Villa Mozay also informed them that we would refer the refund request to the booking platform due to it being peak season.
It was only at this point that the guests provided a list of issues, which was forwarded to the platform to facilitate a three-day refund. It became clear that the guests had no intention of staying, but were reluctant to lose the entire booking fee due to the cancellation policy.
Villa Mozay consistently receives excellent ratings across all major booking platforms. Unfortunately, there is little that can be done if guests have ulterior motives.
That being said, we are always open to feedback and continuously strive to improve the guest experience at Villa Mozay.
