Wattle Cottage is a self-catering cottage for up to 8 people on a working farm just 21 km from Lydenburg.
The cottage comprises 4 bedrooms that are furnished with 2 three-quarter beds. Each of the rooms has an en-suite bathroom with a shower, wash basin and a toilet. For convenience, linen and towels are provided.
The property is not affected by load shedding as it makes use of solar power. Wattle Cottage makes use of solar energy, a gas stove and geysers, as well as borehole water that is fine for consumption. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, a microwave, a fridge, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities, and meals can be enjoyed at the dining table.
Guests can relax in the lounge in front of the fireplace, the unit has a TV and free Wi-Fi, or on the large undercover stoep with a built-in braai. A cleaning service is available on request at an additional cost.
The farm offers various activities, such as birdwatching, mountain biking, jogging and walking and there is a golf course with a restaurant on the neighbouring farm. There are also meat merino sheep on the premises.
