1. Breakages: If you break anything, please replace it.
2. Departure: Check-out time is by 10h00 unless prior arrangements have been made. This is to enable the units to be prepared in time for new arrivals. Late checkouts may be charged for.
3. Plumbing/Electrics/Appliances: Please use water sparingly. Please be considerate when it comes to the use of the plumbing and electrics. Kindly switch off most lights when not in a room and ensure the outside lights for your unit are switched off in the morning. Please switch off all appliances when checking out. No generators, inverters, batteries, heaters, etc. allowed on the premises without prior arrangement. There will be extra costs involved.
4. Pets: Some pets are allowed with prior arrangements. No pets are allowed on any of the furniture. Please bring their own beds, bowls, etc. Please pick up their poop on a regular basis, put it in a waste bag and dispose thereof. Do not throw it in the plants, please.
5. Braai/entertainment facilities and rules: Each unit has a private braai. Make fires only in places provided. No fire is permitted in the firepit if it’s windy, due to the artificial lawn. Please do be considerate towards our town/neighbours/guests when it comes to noise levels. No loud music is permitted. No noise after 22:00. No fireworks to be let off on or around the property.
6. Smoking/Alcohol: Smoking is permitted on the verandas and outdoors. Ashtrays are provided, so again please do not throw your cigarette butts, alcoholic beverage or anything else for that matter, in the garden or on the plants. Kindly do not smoke in the units.
7. Garden and Surroundings: Please do not throw stones on the front lawn. The boat is old and there are loose planks, rusty screws, etc. in other words it is not a playground for kids.
8. Loss or Damage to Establishment Property: The guest is liable for any loss or damages (excluding wear and tear) to the property of the establishment. Please do not run in the units or climb on the furniture.
9. General Incapacity: The establishment cannot be held liable if any of the following events or conditions prevents them from fulfilling my obligation to guests. The manager/owner will take all reasonable steps to minimise disruption and discomfort to guests under
these conditions.
• Unanticipated interruption to the electricity, water, sewage to, from or on the guest house property.
• Industrial action, civil uprising or criminal activity.
• Fire, frost, flooding, subsidence or any other force major event.
10. Limit to Liability: The maximum liability of the establishment for any event or condition for which a guest may institute a claim is limited to the value of one day’s accommodation. Please do not hesitate to contact the manager immediately should you observe or experience anything that does not meet your expectations.
11. The breakage deposit includes a cleaning fee.
