A beautiful getaway just an hour away from Joburg. Hidden gem. Love at first sight, I can't even describe the beauty of the scenery in words. It's a must see. We truly enjoyed our stay; the pictures aren't doing enough justice. Amelia is such an amazing host. From the moment we drove in, she welcomed us warmly into her space. A truly magical city escape! What a magical place tucked away in the mountains! The Wildebeesthoek Nature Reserve was the perfect escape from Joburg. The cottage was perfectly equipped for a winter weekend stay with a fireplace to keep us warm. Lots of bird life right outside our windows, and a short walk out to the cosy bird hide treated us to some great wildlife sightings. It was a truly memorable stay from start to finish, and we look forward to visiting again! Thank you to Amelia, Rahim and the team for everything!

You are resting wonderfully! The hiking trails are fantastic. Also learned quite a few new birds. It is a beautiful place. Reception was excellent! It is truly a "hidden gem". Everything is clean and tidy! Fantastic hiking and bird watching.

Excellent place for a relaxed stay. We really enjoyed our stay at Wildebeesthoek Nature Reserve. The house was atmospheric, very clean, very well equipped and situated in a beautiful environment. We were welcomed with fresh flowers on the table. We love the birds and it was so nice to get the opportunity to read the names of the trees in the park and to meet giraffes and other animals during our walk.
