Woodlands Retreat offers luxury accommodation with mini-self -catering kitchenettes in Clarens. Nestled in a lush garden, among woodland trees, surrounded by an inspiring sandstone mountain landscape, for which Clarens is renowned. This secluded peaceful venue is ideal for rest and relaxation and, is an easy 3 minute gentle drive, or a 13 minute walk, from central Clarens.
Woodlands Retreat endeavours to create an eco-friendly, organic environment and is moving to be as self-sufficient as possible, planning to be off the grid in the future.
Woodlands Retreat offers 4 types of accommodation consisting of elegantly furnished suites and a cottage, namely our spacious Silver Pebbles, Cosy Caribbean Blue, Cosy Golden Maple Suite, Spacious Pearl Suites and the Comfortable Cherry Family Studio. Each suite features fresh crisp 100-percent percale cotton linen and hypo-allergenic furnishings, heating, as well as a clean, white-tiled shower en suite has lovely hot water. The Cherry Family Suite has fresh soft hypoallergenic microfibre linen.
Free and secure parking is available on site, behind locked gates.
Children are welcome with strict adult supervision and care being taken to leave our precious space in the same condition you found it. Note: tormenting of Jessie our loving dog as well as the chickens will not be tolerated. The garden is also to be respected and admired and children supervised as they roam free.
Guests are invited to walk along the meandering pathways enjoying the caressing serenity of the trees whilst noticing the numerous birds and butterflies which frequent the garden. You can also watch adventurous visitors abseil off Flat Top Mountain.
If you wish to liven up your day or night the Main Street of Clarens is a hop, skip and a jump away. Clarens has wonderful art galleries, fabulous restaurants to wine and dine, or have a craft beer to cool yourself down. You will find live music and various other activities continuing throughout the year. Mid weeks may be quieter depending on the time of year.
