Description
Woodpecker Lodge offers bed and breakfast, and is situated in the 680-hectare Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate. The lodge is also a 5 to 10 minutes drive from various shops and restaurants in the town. Please note we are strictly a "Bed & Breakfast" concern - no self catering/cooking/braais permitted.
Accommodation at Woodpecker Lodge comprises 4 individually decorated rooms, which can accommodate 2 persons in each. Each room is furnished with twin beds, and features a full private en-suite bathroom. In addition, each room contains air-conditioning, an electric mosquito repellent device and screens on the windows.
Breakfast is served in the dining area. The thatched-roof lodge also features a swimming pool, a bar, a guest lounge, and free Wi-Fi Internet access. Woodpecker Lodge is set amongst large bushveld trees, with views of the bush, and distant mountains which are near to 1 of the dams on the estate.
Ample parking is available for vehicles. The estate has a wilderness area as well as a game drive route, where much of the game can be seen. Although there are allocated areas to view the game on the estate, the animals do not distinguish between various areas and roam freely throughout the estate.
